BECHDEL APPROVED FLICKS FOR YOUR GALENTINE’S DAY BINGE SESSION

Its that time of year again, where we’re suddenly inundated with romantic notions of grand gestures that never happen and the chocolate selection is suddenly off the chain. No matter what your current status might be we’ve got another way more exciting (and far less disappointing) holiday for you – Galentine’s Day! Because who never lets you down? Your gal pals! Meredith & Christina, Thelma & Louise, Betty & Veronica, Tina Fey & Amy Poehler – the history of lady best friends is well established and nothing to mess with. And while every day really should be Galentine’s Day why not take all that wasted romantic energy and show your closest lady friend how much you appreciate her! With all the turmoil going on in the world, sexism and wage gaps, sexuality and consent, politicians trying to make decisions about what we’re allowed to do with our bodies – we sure could use some solidarity.

There are three pieces of criteria to meet the Bechdel test – the film must have (1) at least two women in it with names, who (2) talk to each other, about (3) something other than a man.
