The Walden Cross Country Fitness Club (WCCFC) was established in 1978 and has become one of Ontario’s top cross country ski trail systems.
The club maintains three trail systems within Greater Sudbury. Our main system and is located at the Naughton Trail Centre, but be sure to visit the Beaver Lake Trails in Worthington and the Voyageur Trails in Azilda.
The Club’s primary location in Naughton offers over 23 km of skate and classic trails that range from novice to expert. 3km are brightly lit for night skiing. Naughton offers snowshoe trails, fatbiking, equipment rentals, ski lessons, youth programs, elite racing programs and access to a modern, fully accessible, family friendly chalet with free wifi. When there is no snow, it’s great for walking, running and hiking. There are also 12km of single track mountain bike trails onsite, operated by our Naughton Trail Centre Partner Club, the Walden Mountain Bike Club. They’re pretty awesome too.
