On Sunday, June 12th, the Northern Cancer Foundation & Funds are hosting their 2016 Cancer Centre Walk/Run for Hope! The run will take place at the William Bell Gazebo at Bell Park, with registration beginning at 10:00am and the walk/run at 11:00am. On Friday, May 13th Freelandt Caldwell Reilly LLP (FCR) hosted a block BBQ outside their office to raise funds and awareness for the Relay for Life and Heart & Stroke Big Bike – two events members of their staff participate in every year. The FCR Community Development Committee organized the BBQ and they invited corporate colleagues and nearby business associates. The entire city felt the loss May 2015 when beloved radio host Rich Griffin passed away suddenly. The loss was not entirely without hope though as Rich, a registered organ donor was able to save 5 lives and impact countless others. “Rich had a big heart, and it now beats on.
