Have Fun in the Snow with Sudbury Ultimate’s Snowplate Tournament

On March 4-5, ultimate frisbee players are invited to run, jump and dive on the snowy fields at Terry Fox Sports Complex for the 19th annual Snowplate tournament – hosted by Sudbury Ultimate Club. The tournament was first played on Ramsey Lake in 1998 and was organized by Erin Simmons and Serge Gosselin, two Sudburians who got hooked on Ultimate while attending university in British Columbia. Cauliflower Mushroom Lentil Soup

We’re really into soups this winter so we’re sharing another delicious soup recipe today – Cauliflower Mushroom Lentil Soup! This soup is perfect for these cold winter days. Ingredients: ½ onion (chopped) 2 cloves of Garlic 8 white mushrooms (chopped) 1L Vegetable broth 2 cups Cauliflower (chopped) 1 cup Almond milk 2 Tbsp Brown lentils 2 Tbsp Tamari 1 tsp sea salt 1 tsp cumin 2 tsp rosemary ½ tsp cardamom 2 tbsp brown rice flour Directions: Over medium heat in a large pot simmer onions, garlic, and mushrooms with 2 tbsp of grapeseed oil.
