Travelling the world performing your music is a dream to many, but for Sudbury’s own Tessa Gooden it is very much becoming a reality! Tessa made the move to Toronto a few years ago and has been on a steady grind ever since writing, performing and learning as much as she can about the music industry. She’s been lucky enough to find herself in the middle of a rising Canadian hip-hop/r&b community and she’s poised to seize every opportunity that comes her way. This spring Tessa was invited to perform for a second year at New Skool Rules festival in Amsterdam, just the first in many shows that have her travelling across Europe, Canada and even back to her hometown here in Sudbury. Hard at work in the studio every chance they get Tessa and producer Peter Balaz have a new album on the horizon for us, and we’re sure many more shows to look forward to. Her latest single ‘Come Up for the Weekend’ is the summer jam you didn’t know you needed and we can’t wait to hear the rest! Listen in here for the full interview and check out our Spotify playlist here.
