CRATER CONVERSATIONS EP37: TAMMY DEAMICIS
Welcome to another edition of Crater Conversations, a weekly show live on CKLU now on at a brand spanking new time, Tuesday’s at 5PM! So, what exactly is the show all about? Join your host, Crater co-founder Jess, each week as we sit down with a local guest. We’ll talk about their projects, their passions, and the things they love about our little rock town! We’ll be sitting down with performers, entrepreneurs, community leaders – anyone with a story. Personal anecdotes, first inspirations, childhood follies, who knows where this will take us but we can’t wait to find out! Can’t catch the show on air? No worries, all our episodes will be posted online afterwards for easy listening. If you’re inclined to tune in live turn your radio dial to CKLU 96.7 or stream live at https://www.cklu.ca/ 5PM every Tuesday.
When was the last time you visited your local library? If you’re not too sure what the answer to that question is chances are its been too long! Libraries more than just books these days and the Greater Sudbury Public Library is no exception. GSPL celebrated Ontario Public Library week October 14-20th and that got us thinking about some of the unexpected services our library provides. To find out more we spoke with the Coordinator of Outreach Programs and Partnerships at GSPL Tammy DeAmicis – ‘amicis’ means friend, which is the perfect because Tammy wants to invite you to become friends with your local library! They’ve got some amazing resources, classes of all sorts, historical archives, a makerspace decked out with all sorts of equipment – the list goes on and on. Truly, having fun isn’t hard when you’ve got a library card! Tune in to this weeks episode to find out more about GSPL here and check out our Spotify playlist here.
