Call to Artists: Outdoor Mural Opportunity
The NATT Safety Services Outdoor Mural Opportunity is open to exterior urban mural artists or teams who reside in Northern Ontario. The artwork imagery will represent the mining, construction and safety rescue services that NATT Safety Services provides, and will be created to represent the large mining culture in Sudbury. The expectation is that imagery will be inspired by the mining culture of Sudbury, confined spaces rescue and will be created by community artists in the Northern Ontario area. branch2018 is a dance-based intensive designed for pre-professional, emerging and professional dancers, choreographers and teachers in Northern Ontario, open to movers and performing artists of ALL varieties from EVERYWHERE! The intensive aims to provide physical training and an alternative learning experience for participants. Through its' collaborative faculty, branch explores dance through a range of classes, workshops, and creative processes. Blueberry Bash at the Market
Come celebrate the Blueberry Festival at The Market! The morning kicks off with a blueberry pancake breakfast at 8:00am courtesy of the Minnow Lake Lions Club. There is a $5 charge per plate with proceeds going back to the Blueberry Festival. The day will also feature a lineup of local musical artists, free Blueberry Festival temporary tattoos, Jumper the Clown with free balloon creations, and free wagon rides. *NEW THIS YEAR* Blueberry Bun Bakeoff! Enter your version of traditoinal Blueberry Buns at the judges table by 9:30am. Judging starts at 10:00am by the Sudbury Arts Council. The Market is open 8am-2pm with all your favourite vendors selling farm fresh produce, local meat, baked goods, cheeses, preserves, bath and beauty products, jewelry, and so much more!

Branch2018 Site-Specific Showing
Branch2018 Final Showing Saturday, July 21st 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm Downtown Sudbury FREE Culminating the week of class and creative process at Branch Intensive 2018 is a Final Showing! The Final Showing will begin by meeting our guide at Sudbury Theatre Centre at 5pm. Our trusty guide will tour the audience to the site-specific locations of each performance, showcasing two creations that have been made during Branch2018 by Valerie Calam and Brian Solomon. Following the showing, performers and audience will be led to Memorial Park for refreshments and sunshine! This post-show gathering is intended to bring audience, performers, branch faculty members and organizers together to share in reflecting on an awesome week. BYO/contribute snacks recommended!
