2018 Strokes for Hope Golf Classic!
Mark your calendar and join us again for a great day on the course and the fight against cancer! The Northern Cancer Foundation (NCF) is asking for your support of our 23rd annual Strokes for Hope Golf Classic slated for Thursday, August 23rd, 2018 at Timberwolf Golf Club. Since its inception, Strokes for Hope has raised over $1,075,000.for patient care, equipment purchases and research activities conducted at the Northeast Cancer Centre! Your participation will help us continue our fight against cancer and provide local support to individuals from the Northeast who require with cancer treatment. Register your team today! Corporate teams sell out quickly and are only $1,000 (includes 18 holes of golf, snacks, dinner & prizes.) 100% of proceeds from this event stay local!

Thursday Market Hikes
This urban hike will depart from and return to the Thursday Market on York Street. It will be approximately 1.5 hours (3 km) in length. The hike is open to all, and is stroller friendly. The walk is designed to introduce you to the history and attractions of the Bell Park area. The route of the hike will vary. After the hike, you can visit the farmer, artisan, and craft vendor booths at the market. Meet us in the south parking lot (the north is where the vendor booths will be set up).

Jesse Merineau and his band will be showcasing their talent at some very well known venues across Ontario! Help support them by inviting all of your friends and family! ♥ Ox - began in the smokey confines of East-side Vancouver’s Profile Studios- as songwriter Mark Browning’s project to remake Woody Guthrie’s ‘Dust Bowl Ballads’. What started as a musical history excercise and sonic experiment quickly transformed into an intimate expression of rambling folk soundscape mixed with indie rock. Browning’s 2003 debut, ‘Dust Bowl Revival’ bridged the burgeoning roots alt-country scene into indie cult status coming out of nowhere to eventually reach #1 on Canada’s national college radio chart- the first time an independent record has achieved such an honour. New tunes. New lineup.
