Cercle des auteurs du Projet Manifeste de la Place des Arts
Sous la direction musicale de Daniel Bédard. Une résidence de création en chanson l'automne dernier a cherché à provoquer la rencontre entre deux univers : la littérature et la musique. Elle a accueilli quatre duos d’artistes à Sudbury. Chaque duo est composé d’un·e musicien·ne ainsi que d’un·e parolier·ère, et est appelé à créer trois chansons originales inspirées par la francophonie du Nouvel-Ontario et le projet de la Place des Arts. Présentation des œuvres originales en formule « Cercle d’auteurs » avec Daniel Bédard et Daniel Aubin, Cindy Doire et Guylaine Tousignant, Antoine Tremblay Beaulieu et Chloé Laduchesse, Christian Berthiaume et Le R qui croiseront mots et musiques. Billets: 15 $ à 19.69 $ Deux représentations: à 14 h et à 20 h

We believed it was to air Feb. 22nd. But changes were made to the schedule, and they will be airing it on Thursdays, beginning the 28th of FEB. Bahamas Earthtones tour w/ Ben Rogers Sudbury • Fraser Auditorium at Laurentian University March 21, 2019 Tickets on sale - December 20, 2018 at 10:00am Afie Jurvanen isn’t from the Bahamas. He’s a Finnish-Canadian who was raised in Barrie, ON and now calls Toronto home. The Earthtones Tour is in support of his latest record, ‘Earthtones.’ Since 2009 he's been making music and touring the world under the name Bahamas. Through simple arrangements, he charts an escape route from the snow-belt to the coral reefs. Regarding his latest album Afie says; “I wrote songs about having success, having kids, and having depression. I wrote songs about going on tour, going back in time and going in circles. I wrote songs about my otherworldly wife, my jerk dad and my garbage relationship with my brother. Crazy right?! It’s a very positive 10-song album about having a joie de vivre for the joys of life.
