An Exhibition by Paddy O’Sullivan
The Northern Artist Gallery is excited to announce that the exhibit for the month of April will be abstract artist Paddy O’Sullivan. The intriguing exhibit will be at Artists on Elgin from April 1-30. The public is invited to attend the opening reception on Saturday April 6th from 1pm to 4pm to meet the artist. Paddy O’Sullivan’s new works of art for this show includes two pieces that are a homage to Miles Davis, the great jazz musician. and Gord Downey the lead singer for the Tragically Hip as well as several abstract pieces of art featuring brilliant colours and interesting textures. This grouping of art is both eclectic and intriguing. Some of his paintings are hanging in private and corporate collections in the Scotland, France, Saudi, Arabia, the United States and Canada. Artists on Elgin encourages and welcomes the public to stop in between April 1-30 to admire the visual art created by Paddy.

Film: Styx – Northern Ontario Premiere
"Styx" depicts the transformation of an affluent European doctor torn from her contented world during a grueling solo sailing trip. When she becomes the only person to come to the aid of a group of refugees shipwrecked on the high seas, she is left slipping impotently from one nightmare to the next. It was screened in the Panorama section at the 68th Berlin International Film Festival.
