An Exhibition by Paddy O’Sullivan
The Northern Artist Gallery is excited to announce that the exhibit for the month of April will be abstract artist Paddy O’Sullivan. The intriguing exhibit will be at Artists on Elgin from April 1-30. The public is invited to attend the opening reception on Saturday April 6th from 1pm to 4pm to meet the artist. Paddy O’Sullivan’s new works of art for this show includes two pieces that are a homage to Miles Davis, the great jazz musician. and Gord Downey the lead singer for the Tragically Hip as well as several abstract pieces of art featuring brilliant colours and interesting textures. This grouping of art is both eclectic and intriguing. Some of his paintings are hanging in private and corporate collections in the Scotland, France, Saudi, Arabia, the United States and Canada. Artists on Elgin encourages and welcomes the public to stop in between April 1-30 to admire the visual art created by Paddy.

Gnocchi Cooking Class
Gnocchi as good as Nonna's! Learn how to make these delicious morsels in our next cooking class. The word gnocchi is thought to come from the word 'nocca', which means knuckles -and you can expect to use them in this class. Mark Gregorini will lead the session which includes a simple sauce, with plenty of hands on learning. Cost is $75 + HST a person and includes a selection of charcuterie and bruschette. FUN FACT Did you know the famous potato gnocchi dates back to the sixteenth or seventeenth century? The Caverners Beatles Tribute Show presented by Schuster Boyd McDonald
8pm: Come check out Chicks with Picks Acoustic Duo 9pm: The Caverners: Canada's Premier Beatles Tribute band from Niagara Falls. See it for yourself. The Caverners will hold your hand back to The Ed Sullivan Show in 1964, then drive your car and take you on a yellow submarine to meet nowhere men, axmen, and people named Jude, Lady Madonna and John and Yoko. It's a ride you don't want to miss! Every piece of Caverner costume and gear has that unmistakable Beatle look, right down to the British Vox amplifiers and the classic Ludwig Ringo drum kit. All the great songs are there too, everything from She Loves You to Day Tripper, from Help! and A Hard Days Night to Get Back to Hey Jude. The boys have yet to perform without their crowds screaming, stamping their feet and yelling for more.
