Sudbury Downtown Indie Cinema Co-op is delighted to host the 4th edition of Queer North Film Festival 2019, Thurs. June 13 to Sun. June 16, at our very own location at 162 Mackenzie St. in Downtown Sudbury. QUEER NORTH is the only queer film festival in Northern Ontario. QUEER NORTH celebrates the diversity of the gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and two-spirited communities through quality cinema. Our festival will span 4 days mid-June drawing crowds from across the region with film premieres, artist talks, and parties that focus squarely on queer-themed films and videos from Canada and around the world. Queer North Film Festival will celebrate outstanding, award-winning feature films plus International and Canadian LGBTQ short films: documentary and fiction over the course of 4 days including some locally-produced films.

Downtown Sudbury Yard and Sidewalk Sale – Rescheduled Date
The Downtown Sudbury Yard & Sidewalk Sale scheduled for May 25th got washed out - but that's okay, we are back with a brand new date!! Saturday, June 15th The annual community yard sale is hosted by the Downtown Sudbury BIA and takes place on Larch Street(Between Durham and Elgin) and an adjacent parking lot. *Note: we are not taking any new vendors. The majority of vendors from the May 25th date have confirmed their attendance and we are still in the process of trying to get a hold of the remaining participants* *Participants have been contacted via the email address/phone number provided on their registration form. If you are among the handful that we have been unable to reach, please email Maggie@downtownsudbury.com or give us a call at 705-674-5115 to ensure that you receive your space.*

2019 Rally for Dad
Please join us on Father's Day weekend for the 2019 Rally for Dad on Saturday, June 15th. In 2018 the event was extremely successful with over 200 riders and raised over $30,000! Our goal this year is to raise $35,000! Will you help us reach our goal? ALL monies raised will fund NEW equipment for the treatment of prostate cancer at the Northeast Cancer Centre in Sudbury. Riders will leave from the Northern Cancer Centre and enjoy a highway scenic rally route that will end at the A&W (1099 Marcus Drive, Sudbury). A&W will provide food,refreshments and entertainment. The registration fee is $35/each per rider and passenger (if applicable). This includes: A&W lunch, a rocker panel, your name entered into a draw for great prizes, and a donation to the Cancer Centre. (You will also receive a $20 tax receipt.) If your passenger(s) only want to participate for lunch – you can purchase a meal coupon for $10 at the Registration desk. Thank you for supporting the Northern Cancer Foundation and your local cancer centre.
