Enhanced by Nature

Artists on Elgin 168 Elgin Street, Sudbury, Ontario, Canada

Artists on Elgin welcomes the public to an opening reception featuring award winning wood artisan, David Solomon and his exhibition titled, ‘Enhanced by Nature’ on Saturday June 2 from 1pm-4pm! The exhibit will run for the month of June. David’s primary focus is creating decorative wood boxes from exotic hardwoods, often combined with Nature enhanced pieces of maple. He uses spalted maple, pieces obtained from his Manitoulin Island cottage property, as the focal point in many of his works. David also creates one-of-a-kind wall art, revealing the beauty hidden within select pieces of crotch maple. David will always have a passion for wood. He loves the way it looks, feels, and smells and he hopes that this passion translates into creations that surprise and delight the senses of the viewers. David also hopes that it facilitates in them a deeper appreciation for the natural beauty of wood, especially the hidden treasures which are often undiscovered His work is carried by galleries in several Ontario locations including Sudbury, Toronto, Burlington, Kingston, Ottawa, & Tobermory, as well as galleries in Michigan & Indiana.
