Why not give the gift of laughter this Christmas? Yuk Yuk's Sudbury returns to the stage Friday, December 28th at Overtime Bar & Grill. Featuring 3 live comics, including headliners Alex Wood and Laura Leibow. At a young age, Alex Wood is already a stand-up comedy veteran. His high energy style mixes finely tuned jokes and storytelling. He's performed at the Montreal Just For Laughs festival twice. Once in 2009 for The Homegrown Show where he was featured in the Montreal Gazette's "Best of the Fest" article. He made his return in 2017 taping at Kevin Hart's "LOL Network" and was named one of the "Canadian Acts You Need to Know" by Interrobang. Alex has performed across North America and been featured on SiriusXM, CBC Radio and JFL42 in Toronto. His debut album was #1 on iTunes comedy chart. Laura Leibow has used her acerbic wit and laid back style to become one of the most promising fresh faces on the Canadian comedy scene. She is the editor of the comedy website "UNoriginal" and has been impressing crowds from Toronto to New York since debuting in 2015.

Award Winning Comedian Casey Corbin is returing to Sudbury on Saturday, February 9, 2019 for a dinner and comedy show. Dinner and Show or Show Only tickets are available. Doors open at 6pm. Dinner will be served at 6:30pm and the show will start at 7:30pm. Approximate run time is 70-90minutes. The last few years have been fantastic for Casey Corbin. With highlights that include performing to a sold out National Arts Centre in Ottawa, Canada opening for Mr. D himself, Gerry Dee. Having a 9 show run at Just For Laughs Toronto festival, JFL 42. This included 4 sold out shows Royal Theatre sharing the stage with friend Rory Scovel and one time with a surprise special guest, Amy Schumer. Working with Norm MacDonald for 6 sold out shows at the Laugh Shop in Calgary. Releasing his 3rd comedy album on iTunes, apple music, amazon and Spotify. As well as competing in the 8th annual Brantford Comedy Festival and winning it’s grand prize of $10,000. If that wasn’t enough, he launched a wrestling/ comedy podcast with Never Sleeps Network that airs weekly on iTunes titled Talk’N Wrestling. Before 2017 Casey Corbin has accomplished plenty. Since doing his first set at an event he organized himself at Junior college in 1995, Bonaparte has toured across Canada and a few spots in the USA spreading laughter. Bonaparte founded PremiumComedy.ca . It was billed as Canada’s coolest brand of comedy. The series has morphed into a comedy production house that brings a tailor-made show to any and all who need laughter. Jay Freeborn Jay Freeborn has appeared on JFL42, SIRIUSxm, BITE TV, the Dark Comedy festival, and he was nominated for the Tim Sims award in recognition of comedy talent. He also hosts "Friday Night Special" inside the Underground comedy club. Jay has been selected to open for several American comedians like, Aparna Nancherla, Steve Hoffstetter, Joe Derosa, Sam Tripoli, Dean Delray, Brian Redban, Mark Normand, but mostly he wants you to know he will work for sliced meat!

Kraft has competed in LOL Sudbury's 2015 Crown of Comedy Competition and cofounded the hottest open mic in the city, Hot Mess (2016-2018). Opening the show is Rylan Stolar. As the current producer of The Asylum's Amateur Hours and Showcase Shows, Stolar is one of the hardest working comedians in Northern Ontario. You don't want to miss his wry delivery and political commentary. For the mid-card, we have Cole Leonard. Leonard has a proven track record of causing guttural laughs. He is the founder of the Cold Dark North tour and has performed all over Ontario in vapor lounges and Yuk Yuk's. He’s not to miss. Barry Taylor Barry Taylor has appeared in clubs and colleges across the country. His unique delivery and dry sense of humor are his signature and have lead to on-air positions with 102.1 the Edge FM and XM Satellite Radio, appearances on Comedy Network, Much Music, MTV and Raptors NBA TV as well as writing positions with the Comedy Network and Google. In 2010 Barry founded Comedy Records, Canada’s first and only label dedicated to releasing stand up and sketch comedy albums. The label currently has offices in Toronto and New York and has released several albums that have reached the top of the iTunes and Google Play charts.

More importantly, all proceeds raised from the Comedy Night will support the Northern Cancer Foundation for the Dental Oncology’s OMRP Program. Every penny received by the Foundation will stay in our community to support vital patient care and dental treatment in our own backyard. Sudbury is the only OMRP clinic North of Toronto.
