6th Annual Polar Plunge

Ramsey Lake

On March 2nd, 2019, we will be hosting our 6th Annual Polar Plunge at the Ramsey Lake Boat Launch! Who’s ready to get Freezin for a Reason?! The funds raised from the Polar Plunge go towards Special Olympics Ontario, who provides those with intellectual disabilities in the community and across Ontario the opportunity to participate in sport and recreational activities. This year is a very special year for Special Olympics Ontario – it’s celebrating its 50th anniversary! Since 2014, the Polar Plunge in Sudbury has raised in excess of $115,750! Last year we raised $25,000…Our goal this year is to raise $30,000. Chief Pedersen will be taking the plunge again this year, and he challenges all Sudburians to do the same! You can donate or register here: https://secure.e2rm.com/registrant/EventHome.aspx?eventid=276649&langpref=en-CA&Referrer=https%3a%2f%2fwww.google.com%2f Because of the overwhelming turnout and support from the students at Bishop Alexander Carter CSS and Cambrian College during last year’s plunge, we are aiming to hold a school plunge following the traditional plunge (same day). We are asking classes and schools to challenge each other by registering as teams. There will be prizes for top student costume, most spirited student and most spirited school team. If you are not able to plunge, please consider supporting our Special Olympians by making a donation online or by coming out and showing your support. A huge thank you goes to all sponsors for making this event possible: • The New HOT 93.5 • Topper's Pizza Canada • Northern Uniform • City of Greater Sudbury • Sudbury Police Association • The Greater Sudbury Police Services Board See you all there!!
