The Kivi Park Neighbourhood Association invite you to a fundraising Yard Sale and BBQ on Saturday, September 28th from 9:00am - 2:30pm (no early birds) to help support the Kivi Park Neighbourhood Rink. VENDORS WELCOME! Looking to sell some of your treasures? Book a spot for $25 without a table or $35 with a table included. This includes room for ONE 8 foot table. Bring your own chair. CASH ONLY, there is no ATM on site. BBQ onsite selling hot dogs, hamburgers, drinks and more! We will be accepting community donations of yard sale items for our Kivi Park Neighbourhood Association table at the Rink Building at Kivi Park on: Wednesday, September 25 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm Thursday, September 26 from 1:00pm to 5:00pm Friday, September 27 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm Items should be in good working condition, no clothing or large furniture items will be accepted. After a one year hiatus Kettlebells for Cancer is BACK!!! This is our signature charity event. The money raised goes to support pediatric cancer and the Northern Cancer Foundation. This October 6th, Camp Quality Northern Ontario hold it's annual axe-throwing tournament in Sudbury and North Bay. Every bullseye gets us closer to our target: sending all children with cancer to camp. This super fun event is also happening in seven cities across Canada on the same day, everywhere that Camp Quality has a camp including Toronto, Barrie, Ottawa, Winnipeg and Calgary! Superheroes for Little Heroes 2019

Presented by Yallowega Belanger Salach Architecture, our superheroes are back to save the day… Join us on Sunday, October 20th as the Greater Sudbury Police Service Tactical Unit officers rappel down Health Sciences North / Horizon Santé-Nord to complete their mission. Dressed as superheroes, the officers will make their way down the building to then greet the little heroes in attendance. Join us for their exciting mission in support of our NEO Kids. Wear your favorite superhero or Halloween costume! Family-friendly activities to follow. Help our superheroes greet our little heroes by purchasing a piece of rope to help them make it to the bottom! 2019 Downtown Sudbury Witches Walk

Double Double, toiletries and trouble! It’s time to dust off those brooms and cast a spell in support of the Sudbury Women’s Centre for the first Downtown Sudbury Witches Walk. Dress in your witch’s best and take an evening tour through downtown… have a bite to eat, grab a drink and even find some sweet new Muggle clothes. This event is free to attend, but we ask all participants make a small donation of personal care products (shampoo, soap, other toiletries) for the Sudbury Women’s Centre. This is an inclusive event, so Wizards and other magical creatures are all welcome to attend ;)

4th annual Cancer centre Walk/Run for Hope!

5th Annual Cancer Centre Walk/Run for Hope MOVE - Kivi Park Fitness Series (Event) Sunday, October 27th at Kivi Park 10 am - Registration 11:00 am - Race Start Distances: 1km (Kids) Free 3km, 5km and 10km Adults $35 and Kids $5 The event will offer four different distances -1km, 3km, 5km and 10 km - with all routes running through scenic trails at Kivi Park. The adult registration fee includes a T-Shirt and lunch. Participants are encouraged to raise funds by collecting pledges. * New this year for participants - if you raise $100 and over in pledges we will waive your $35 registration fee! 100% of the monies raised will support the Northeast Cancer Centre for patient care, equipment and research. KiSS 105.3 Radiothon of Hope 2019

The KiSS 105.3 Radiothon of Hope in support of the Northern Cancer Foundation, thanks in part to Aegisys Cloud Solutions will be held from 6am to 6pm at the Northeast Cancer Centre on Thursday, November 14th. Over the past 13 years, we have raised $1,161,2000 for the Northern Cancer Foundation! Last year, YOU helped us DOUBLE our goal of 13 chemo chairs; thanks to your generosity, we raised $57,200 and the Northern Cancer Foundation was able to purchase 26 chairs! Proceeds from this year’s event will be used to support clinical trials being done right here in Sudbury at the Northeast Cancer Centre. They are setting up a suite for clinical trials patients that will include chemo chairs, stretchers, IV poles and other equipment to facilitate the patients taking part. There is a research team of oncologists who are conducting these trials which seek to find better ways to treat patients with the hope of better outcomes. at the Northeast Cancer Centre. Tune in Thursday, November 14th from 6 a.m to 6 p.m. to hear uplifting stories of courage, determination and hope from patients and their caregivers. In addition, local experts and medical staff at the Centre provide updates on new and cutting-edge improvements in the fields of cancer care and research.
