Cross-Out Cancer Volunteers: How to become a Volunteer! The Northern Cancer Foundation (NCF) is looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help with the event. NCF events - including the Cross-Out Cancer - are a fantastic way to build your volunteer portfolio and gain experience working at events that aren’t your typical charity fundraisers. The event’s volunteers will fill a variety of roles both on the course and off the course helping to create a memorable experience for event participants. Heart of Ruth Mission presents our 6th Annual Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser on February 9th, 2019. This event will take place at our usual venue, 430 Westmount Ave in Sudbury, Ontario. Underneath the Christian Horizons sign at the top of the hill. Tickets are $12 for adults and $5 for children. As always, tickets include a delicious plate of spaghetti (meaty, and vegetarian), caesar salad, garlic bread, and a drink. Your ticket also includes entrance to our door prize, to be announced. The night will be filled with live entertainment to enjoy with family and friends, a penny sale table with amazing items, and an item filled with Kenyan goods for sale. All proceeds will directly support our transition home project, and education fees for the children living at Rainbow House Children's Home. Come out, invite your friends, and enjoy a night of supporting Heart of Ruth Mission and our projects that directly help Rainbow House Children's Home in Kenya. Celebrating our natural bodies though body casts. For all people who identify as female members of the Laurentian community, who would like to take part in creating empowering body casts. This is a free event and all material will be provided.

Please join us for an unforgettable night of sensory exploration through aromas, flavours, and textures. Our Dining in the Dark event will feature a delicious meal and a silent auction. All proceeds will support CNIB programs and services that address the social and emotional needs in the City of greater Sudbury dealing with sight loss. On March 2nd, 2019, we will be hosting our 6th Annual Polar Plunge at the Ramsey Lake Boat Launch! Who’s ready to get Freezin for a Reason?! The funds raised from the Polar Plunge go towards Special Olympics Ontario, who provides those with intellectual disabilities in the community and across Ontario the opportunity to participate in sport and recreational activities. This year is a very special year for Special Olympics Ontario – it’s celebrating its 50th anniversary! Since 2014, the Polar Plunge in Sudbury has raised in excess of $115,750! Last year we raised $25,000…Our goal this year is to raise $30,000. Chief Pedersen will be taking the plunge again this year, and he challenges all Sudburians to do the same!
