The band covers the 50's origins from Ray Charles and Sam Cooke through the great years of the 1960's - Aretha Franklin, Otis Redding, Sam and Dave, The Staples, Soloman Burke and much more to the rivers that run out like Sly and the Family Stone, James Brown, Stevie Wonder, Curtis Mayfield. The great thing about Memphis Soul is that it is always music that means something. This is music that was made to fill the soul left empty by a world that doesn't raise all ships equally. Sometimes you just need to dance while you remember that the world is full of gangsters, pirates and jealous lovers... on the flip side... you need to dance when you realize that your world is also filled with brothers and sisters seeking justice... filled with lovers... filled with spirit.
