Monday, June 17th - Ian Blurton's Future Now, Glenn Milchem, Espanola - Doors 8:00pm - $10.00 at the door Since 1982 Ian Blurton has played guitar and sung in Change Of Heart, Blurtonia, Bionic, C'mon and Public Animal (among others). Two years ago he decided to finally make a solo record. He called on friends from​ ​Biblical, Flash Lightning, Danko Jones, King Cobb Steelie and more to bring the Thin Lizzy/Budgie/Big Star/Motorpsycho hybrid to life. The LP "Signals Through The Flames" will be released on Pajama Party in June 2019.​ ​Coming together to tour the record is Ian Blurton's Future Now, a hard hitting rock machine that features Glenn​ ​Milchem (Blue Rodeo) on drums, Anna Ruddick (Randy Bachman) on bass and Aaron Goldstein (Daniel Romano) on guitar.

Casual listeners as well as ardent music fans enjoy Duncan Cameron’s skillful performance of rock and country hits as well as his selections of traditional Celtic songs and fiddle tunes. Traditional Irish, English and French-Canadian groups have contributed much of Duncan's repertoire, but classical, country, and funk have also added to his unique approach. These influences as well as his impressive array of instruments are sometimes combined and infused within a song. His use of a looper and other technology to enhance his sound makes his solo shows unexpectedly rich in timbre and range. She now embarks on a short home tour to share. Originally from Sudbury, Canada, MSEA lives in a sound world of her own where she explores the boundaries between beauty and discomfort. Her voice is an ever changing instrument, floating in the midst of soundscape and noise, leading the compositions with fragility and subtlety. Welcome 2019 ... Our Sunday Afternoons have been great this year... Richard Mende and Paul Loewenberg take a couple hours to play old Blues, Ragtime, Bluegrass, Gospel with a touch of Folk music. About half the time we have special guests join in on Bass or Fiddle or Dobro or Banjo... but the rest of the time it's 2 music encyclopedias playing the best from 1800 to about 1960. More often is the 1920's and 30's. We love it when the kids dance. Bring the kids, bring your parents... meet your friends. Have a great meal... A great afternoon of peace and good music. We are back next week with more Fats Waller, Mississippi Sheiks, Hank Williams, Bob Wills, The Carter Family and more. Celebrate the 50th anniversary of the 1969 moon landing on Saturday, June 25th with the Sudbury Studio Singers. They will be hosting a special variety concert at 7:30 p.m. at Andrew’s Place, 111 Larch Street. The chamber choir will perform a new set of four pieces – all titled to match the theme of the evening – composed by conductor, Robert Hall. This is a sneak peak of the piano and choir work for Sudbury. On the actual anniversary of the moon landing, July 20, the work will be premiered in Saskatchewan. Kevin Class will present moon-related selections and Guelph violist Henry Janzen will also perform with Robert Hall on piano. Rounding out the program will be a showing of Georges Méliès 1902 silent movie “Le voyage dans la lune”. Advance tickets are available at Grove’s-YIG, and Jett Landry Music. General Admission is $20 and Students and Seniors $15. Proceeds from the concert will go to the ALS Society of Canada.
