Welcome 2019 ... Our Sunday Afternoons have been great this year... Richard Mende and Paul Loewenberg take a couple hours to play old Blues, Ragtime, Bluegrass, Gospel with a touch of Folk music. About half the time we have special guests join in on Bass or Fiddle or Dobro or Banjo... but the rest of the time it's 2 music encyclopedias playing the best from 1800 to about 1960. More often is the 1920's and 30's. We love it when the kids dance. Bring the kids, bring your parents... meet your friends. Have a great meal... One last afternoon of peace and good music for the season. We are back in January with more Fats Waller, Mississippi Sheiks, Hank Williams, Bob Wills, The Carter Family and more. If you are a player and want to get in on the kitchen jam... come and talk to us...

HUGH JAZZ performs live gypsy jazz in the Paris "LE JAZZ HOT" style playing jazz standards made famous by artists such as Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli. Relive the golden period of jazz through the post-prohibition era deftly executed by: Eric Plangger - Guitar Jean Paul Gignac - Fiddle, Jigs and Reels Christopher Garlic - Drums Fronting the band is amazing vocalist Will Himsl. Will brings many years of Sinatraesque swing and latin jazz experience to the band covering everything from Fly me to the Moon to killer classics from Stevie Wonder. Not to be missed! Bahamas Earthtones tour w/ Ben Rogers Sudbury • Fraser Auditorium at Laurentian University March 21, 2019 Tickets on sale - December 20, 2018 at 10:00am Afie Jurvanen isn’t from the Bahamas. He’s a Finnish-Canadian who was raised in Barrie, ON and now calls Toronto home. The Earthtones Tour is in support of his latest record, ‘Earthtones.’ Since 2009 he's been making music and touring the world under the name Bahamas. Through simple arrangements, he charts an escape route from the snow-belt to the coral reefs. Regarding his latest album Afie says; “I wrote songs about having success, having kids, and having depression. I wrote songs about going on tour, going back in time and going in circles. I wrote songs about my otherworldly wife, my jerk dad and my garbage relationship with my brother. Crazy right?! It’s a very positive 10-song album about having a joie de vivre for the joys of life. Okay, full disclosure…there’s a few slow jams too… Hope you enjoy the music as much as I enjoyed making it.” - Afie
