With that, the NORCAT Innovation Mill is pleased to announce the launch of PITCH 2018! On Thursday, April 26th, 2018 early stage entrepreneurial start-ups are invited to pitch their innovative business venture to a room full of prospective investors looking for their next great investment opportunity. The evening will feature presentations, angel investors, and judges. Finalists will have the chance to compete for the Judge’s Choice Award – an unrestricted cash prize – as well as the People’s Choice Award, a private dinner with a group of angel investors, to be voted for by audience members.
This is not your typical networking event; hosts Sheri Tomchick and Hugh Kruzel put a fun spin on networking to get you to put your best self forward! Bring your business cards, dress in your best outfit and come with an open mind to this speed networking event. This event will take place immediately prior to our monthly Networking After Five presented by Eastlink event which gives you an opportunity to put what you learn to the test! This fun event will take place at Twiggs Coffee Roasters from 3:00 pm till 5:00 pm and will include some fantastic tips from networking pros, Sheri and Hugh; or as we like to call them "Shugh"! You will then have an opportunity to do some one on one speed networking with your fellow attendees; all before heading to Networking After Five. It’s an excellent opportunity to hang out, meet new people, and maybe try a few new things. Join us on November 21 for our first ever Beers & Branding event. A night of branding hosted by Spacecraft Brewery and the Sudbury Design Society. We’ll be challenging teams to design keg labels based-on interstellar beers that will be printed and displayed at Spacecraft Brewery.
