Intro to Glass Mosaic with Karen Ylitalo

Explore the art of creating images using glass with local artist, Karen Ylitalo of Studio K Mosaics. In this 4 hr workshop you will learn the skills and process involved in designing and assembling an 8x8 glass Mosaic called “Stack & Slag”. Once you learn this skill, you will want to try applying Mosaic to other indoor and outdoor surfaces! Cooking Class: strangozzi with truffles and the food of Umbria

Strangozzi is one of the most ancient types of pasta in Italy, originating from Umbria. We serve it at the restaurant because it hails from Spoleto, the medieval town where our founder Willie Gregorini was born and raised! Made without eggs, strangozzi is shaped in a way to allow sauce to cling to its surface. At the end of this class, you will agree there's no better way to enjoy black truffles than with strangozzi! Mark Gregorini will lead the pasta making class and discuss truffles and the history of Umbrian food. There will be hands on learning.
