Haviah Mighty Haviah Mighty didn’t need to change her birth name when she decided to dedicate her career to music. In fact, Mighty couldn’t be more accurate to describe the 26-year-old artist, named one of XXL’s 15 Toronto Rappers You Should Know in 2019. Known for being one of the four MCs who make up The Sorority, Mighty is making equally large waves as a solo artist. Haviah’s explosive live show, filled with in-your-face intensity and her fast, technical flows, has also quickly developed her reputation. In 2019, she released her most fully realized body of work to date, and continues to carve out spaces that boldly defy gendered expectations for women in hip-hop. Trapment Originally from Dowling, ON, DJ and turntablist Trevor ‘Trapment’ Mantysaari is one of the country’s most skilled scratch & mix DJs. At Red Bull’s prestigious Thre3Style DJ competition in 2016, Trapment became the Canadian champion, and moved on to become the world’s vice-champion. He made a return at the 2019 edition, placing 3rd after a heated competition. Expect blazing hot routines and dancefloor igniting sets. Odinamaad Opening

One Sky - Local Fine Goods 125 Durham Street, Sudbury, Ontario, Canada

Born on March 13,1987, Isaac was Born in Rotterdam to two parents with very different cultural backgrounds and a unique family situation. At an early age in life he made his way in to an foster family, and lost most first hand cultural influences. His mother, an Indigenous Native American adopted out from Canada, was an Anishinaabe child pushed out by the system and its agenda with the Aboriginal nations. His Father is from Cabo Verde. He resides in Holland currently, and has made this European country his home. After sailing across the world as a sailor for an oil company, Isaac grew up in the outskirts of Rotterdam exploring the urban city life from his mid teens. He was exposed to art through graffiti, art class and graphic design school. In this oppressive alien society, he worked himself through by drawing his vision on this world. His artscapes were most times an escape from reality. Coping with problems arising from his ethnic background, he focused on political and social awareness. Ever since then he never went to far from the drawing board, his canvas workstation or his back pack full of spray paint and serious passion. Odinamaad (Point of turning wind) Isaäc Narciso Weber B.A. Owner Operator Nishiin Art Gallery and Nishiin Print Sudbury. Artist, Facilitator, Community Helper. @nishiinprintsudbury Odinamaad created a permanent mural within One Sky in June of 2017.

July Hike Club

Rainbow Routes Association 200 Brady Street, Sudbury, Ontario, Canada

Every 1st Saturday of the month, we invite the whole RRA family to get together for a hike exploring our beautiful nature trails! We are especially pleased to be able to invite you to join us on a hike in lovely Capreol for July's monthly hike club. Partly in celebration of the new Transit routes soon to come out (August 2019), and partly because we are excited about Sudbury's recent hard work in promoting active transportation, we decided we'd love to take the city Transit out to our hike this month! We will take the regular Transit bus out to Capreol. The bus leaves downtown at 9 a.m. The scenic ride takes a little less than 45 mintues, and because none of us will have to watch the road, we can chat and visit on our way. We'll then hike around the town's trails (yes, there are more than one!), and hopefully have a bit of time to see some of the other attractions in the town before we hop back on the bus to return to downtown at 12:30. Please RSVP so we know how many we expect to need a seat on the bus. Hike Leaders: Ursula Sauve Distance: tbd Duration: ~ 2 hours Difficulty: easy to moderate NOTE: Because this is a regular transit route (not a charter bus) make sure you leave yourself enough time to arrive at the downtown bus terminal 5 or so minutes before 9 am. Bus fares are $3.40 for adult, and $2.50 for Seniors (65 and up).
