Graduate of the jazz program at Laurentian University, Sean left the city for a couple of decades to pursue a variety of work and playing situations. To the delight of many, he returned home recently and has been found playing blues, reggae and most recent jazz in clubs around town. Sean's sound is steeped in the classic styles of Charlie Parker and Paul Desmond with the smooth west coast sound popularized by Chet Baker. Gentle and melodic like an endless lullaby, Mr. Whalen will charm and soothe you into a timeless reverie and celebration of all things beautiful.
