Hearing Trees with HK & guests at The Asylum

The Asylum Sudbury 19 Regent Street, Sudbury, Ontario, Canada

HEARING TREES (Winnipeg indie/alt rock) https://www.facebook.com/HearingTrees/ Hearing Trees takes you from anxiety-laced post-punk to uplifting sing-along choruses that garner comparisons to Interpol, Matthew Good, R.E.M, and Tragically Hip. A backdrop of reference-filled lyrics grasp the gritty, dry edge of modern life - from Canadian soldiers coming home from the Spanish civil war, to kayaking in the Arctic Circle, through a swath of eclectic shards of culture. Dear Sahara boasts four songs tied together by a letter-writing theme, with art and handwritten liner notes byfrontman Graham Moon. It earned a 5/5 review in Canadian Beats, topped the chart at their hometown CKUW, and reached #35 nationally on EarShot!
