Winter Solstice
Two Souls Yoga 469 Bouchard Street Suite 229, Sudbury, Ontario, CanadaCome join us in the winter celebration entailing the shortest day of the year. Winter solstice is recognized as the first day of winter and the shortest darkest day of the year. After winter solstice each day begins to become longer with more daylight present. Winter Solstice has been a time of celebration, rest, and emotional and physical nourishment for thousands of years. Winter Solstice is one of the most powerful days of the year for meditation and the best time to set your intentions for the new year. We’ll use the energy of the Moon on the longest night of the year and welcome the return of the Sun with a ceremony of YIN and restorative practice. Honoring each light within us by seeing our profound uniqueness as individuals.
The music of The Beatles
Townehouse Tavern 206 Elgin Street, Sudbury, CanadaFriday, December 22nd – The Beatles Night – EARLY – DOORS 9:00pm – BAND STARTS AT 9:30PM. $10 at the door Ryan, Dan, Matt, Pat, Nick and Paul have been doing the Beatles Night for many years now… we have been doing the 50th anniversary of the albums as they come up… culminating with Sgt. Pepper in June when we played with 5 horns, 5 strings and recreated the seminal album note for note. That one we did out on the street for the Townehouse 30 Pop Festival. For Christmas this year we will have some of our horns returning for the mid era music. The core of the band continue mining the catalog deep into the B-Sides, the solo years and beyond, alongside some of the favourite hits of all time. Of course we give a special thanks to Melanie Grillanda for writing out the horn arrangements and arranging the players. In 2018, The Beatles Night will return with another big show with Strings and Horns to take one more run at Sgt Pepper, Magical Mystery tour and some other Beatles favourites that make use of the small orchestra. Come join in with us for this very special experience.
