The Sadies, Kinfolk, Shaky Stars

Townehouse Tavern 206 Elgin Street, Sudbury, Canada

Friday, April 12th - The Sadies - doors 8:00pm - $20 + tax adv. $25 at the door The Sadies bring their signature blend of country, psychedelic, rock and surf into rifle-scope focus on Internal Sounds, further underscoring their reputations as musicians’ musicians. Always at the top of the list when discussing musical chops and live intensity, The Sadies are now more intent than ever on making their mark as songwriters. In one turn as heavy as a sledge, and on the other flitting across melodies with the ease of so many sparrows, The Sadies prove once again that denying them now is simply prolonging your conversion. So go on, pull up that screeching wooden chair that bows with your weight. Slide it up next to the turntable and drop the needle, The Sadies are a sure thing…tomorrow isn’t. The Sadies have been playing at the Townehouse Tavern since before they were a band... We first met Dallas Good as part of Phono-Comb in 1996 and met Travis around the same time with Neko Case. It is always a thrill to have them back as one of North America's premier live acts. They recently wrapped a bunch of shows with Kurt Vile and continue to spend a piece of their year backing up the world's greatest artists while spending the rest of their time blazing their own trail. Doors - 8:00pm Shaky Stars - 8:30pm Kinfolk (Featuring Bruce and Margaret Good) - 9:30pm The Sadies - 10:30pm
