This year marks the 27th Annual Downtown Rotary Blues for Food, in support of the Sudbury Food Bank. The Outdoor Blues festival takes place on Durham Street(between Elgin and Larch Streets) and the Municipal Parking Lot on Larch Street. Live music, Festival foods, Merchandise vendors, Children's Activities, Refreshment tent and much more! Admission is a Non-perishable food item or cash donations to the food bank. Downtown Mini-Putt for Wishes

A miniature golf tournament where the Downtown is the course and the shoppes and businesses are the individual holes!! Teams of 4 raise funds to play the course and then after party at DURHAM SOCIAL complete with food and an auction. TEAMS MUST REGISTER by emailing dmpforwishes@gmail.com 12pm - Team sign-in (donation drop off) at Respect is Burning 1pm - Shotgun start at the holes 4:30pm - golfing ends and teams return to Durham Social 4:30pm - Food & Drinks, silent auction starts 5:30pm - Thank yous, awards ceremony & Live auction 7pm - Silent auction closes, but teams are encouraged to continue partying the night away!

Climb for Cancer – ARC

ARC Climbing Yoga Fitness is pleased to be hosting a Climb for Cancer event on June 10th, 2017! The object of the competition is to be the team to climb the highest within the allotted time. The team’s total height is calculated from the number of completed laps plus two times the total of funds raised by all team members. Teams are encouraged to raise funds with the incentive being that every dollar you and your teammates raise gives you two extra feet to help push your team higher than opposing squads. Come out and support a great cause and dedicate your climbing passion for just one day. Help do something great in this epic battle to conquer cancer in our lifetime. While the Climb for Cancer historically benefits the Princess Margaret Foundation, our event will be benefiting the Northern Cancer Foundation! Queer North Film Festival 2017

Queer North Film Festival (QNFF) is currently the only LGBTQ-themed film festival in Northern Ontario. Run by Sudbury Indie Cinema Co-op, this 4 day festival features the best in recent queer cinema from around the world. This festival is proudly hosted in venues in downtown Sudbury Ontario, and includes some auxillary social events to round out the festival experience.

Gates open 6pm Friday, noon on Saturday. Friday we reunite with 2 of our great lost loves... Budget Motel - assembling from across the country for the first time in years... the band that started it all. Far From Heroes - The first Sudbury band in a generation to break through... recording for Sony... the darlings of the new school punk scene of the late 90's/ early 2000's... second show in 10 years. On Saturday.... We will recreate the Summer of Love with all your faves playing the summer of 1967... Murder Murder plays The Grateful Dead Whiskey River plays The Animals JoPo and the RiZe plays Janis Joplin and Big Brother and Holding Company Ox plays Jimi Hendrix The Wharf Rats Play The Who The Beatles Night plays The Sgt Pepper album in its entirety. Northern Memphis Revival does Otis Redding. The Beatles Night is assembling a small orchestra to recreate one of pop music's greatest achievments. We will be joined by symphony players, big band brass, + Ryan, Dan, Nick, Paul, Pat and Matt, the core of the band that has been hosting Beatles Night for 12 years. We will play Sgt Pepper in it's entirety with Strings and Horns + a few more important numbers from that era of the summer of love from the Fab Four. and much more!!
