Join us for some flower fun and brighten up your home for at least a week by placing your lovely bouquet in a vase. During this very intimate workshop, you'll create a natural, garden style bridesmaid bouquet and watch as our instructor demonstrates how to turn that into a show-stopping bride's bouquet. As a bonus, you'll learn how to make a boutonniere and recieve tips and take home material on how to execute centrepieces and cake flowers. For this workshop, you'll craft your bouquet by choosing from a carefully curated selection of beautiful, neutral coloured flowers that are easily accessible year-round. You'll receive tips for seamlessly incorporating all types of colourful and seasonal flowers, in case this better suits your vision! Plus, our instructor will discuss the best and worst types of flowers to use in bouquets to help you avoid some common floral fails. A sensation at last year’s Northern Lights Festival, award winning folk noir singer-songwriter, Abigail Lapell, returns to Sudbury with a brand new album. “Her pipes have a smoky smoothness that creeps into the memories of your heart and lingers gracefully,” said Exclaim Magazine. Call it prairie noir, or Canadiana desert rock: Abigail Lapell sings haunting, gorgeous modern folk songs, mapping epic natural landscapes and deeply intimate, personal territory. The Toronto vocalist, guitarist and multi-instrumentalist has released three acclaimed solo albums. Hide Nor Hair, her sophomore LP, won a Canadian Folk Music Award for Contemporary Album of the Year in 2017. Since then, Lapell has been on the road, touring across Canada, the U.S. and Europe, and playing at festivals like Northern Lights, Pop Montreal, Mariposa, In The Dead Of Winter, and Folk On The Rocks.
