Thanks for all the Fish Amateur short film, poetry, comedy night Invitation for amateur short films. I have yet to meet someone who does not have at least one bizarre amateur short film hidden on their phone, or long stored away on some external hard drive somewhere. I’m not talking about the short films made between intimate partners. Those are beautiful too, but for a different venue or time. I’m talking about the “films” where you were hanging around with the right group of people under the right circumstances, and it seemed logical to draft a quick story board, get some costumes, and take a stab at telling a story with film. I’m thinking of those film- based creative projects that you took on to pass the time in a way that was fun in that moment. They can be bad. That’s most of their charm. The rest of it is usually inside jokes that I won’t get anyway. They should be short. About 3 minutes or less. (No one can handle low production value inside jokes for much longer than that). Get in touch if you have such a film. As always, the rest of the time will be filled with poetry and comedy. If you have something to share, let me know, and I’ll make sure to save you a spot.
