Saturday, June 15th The annual community yard sale is hosted by the Downtown Sudbury BIA and takes place on Larch Street(Between Durham and Elgin) and an adjacent parking lot. *Note: we are not taking any new vendors. The majority of vendors from the May 25th date have confirmed their attendance and we are still in the process of trying to get a hold of the remaining participants* *Participants have been contacted via the email address/phone number provided on their registration form. Please join us on Father's Day weekend for the 2019 Rally for Dad on Saturday, June 15th. In 2018 the event was extremely successful with over 200 riders and raised over $30,000! Our goal this year is to raise $35,000! Will you help us reach our goal? ALL monies raised will fund NEW equipment for the treatment of prostate cancer at the Northeast Cancer Centre in Sudbury. Riders will leave from the Northern Cancer Centre and enjoy a highway scenic rally route that will end at the A&W (1099 Marcus Drive, Sudbury). A&W will provide food,refreshments and entertainment. The registration fee is $35/each per rider and passenger (if applicable). This includes: A&W lunch, a rocker panel, your name entered into a draw for great prizes, and a donation to the Cancer Centre. (You will also receive a $20 tax receipt.) If your passenger(s) only want to participate for lunch – you can purchase a meal coupon for $10 at the Registration desk. Welcome 2019 ... Our Sunday Afternoons have been great this year... Richard Mende and Paul Loewenberg take a couple hours to play old Blues, Ragtime, Bluegrass, Gospel with a touch of Folk music. About half the time we have special guests join in on Bass or Fiddle or Dobro or Banjo... but the rest of the time it's 2 music encyclopedias playing the best from 1800 to about 1960. More often is the 1920's and 30's. We love it when the kids dance. Bring the kids, bring your parents... meet your friends. Have a great meal... A great afternoon of peace and good music. Monday, June 17th - Ian Blurton's Future Now, Glenn Milchem, Espanola - Doors 8:00pm - $10.00 at the door Since 1982 Ian Blurton has played guitar and sung in Change Of Heart, Blurtonia, Bionic, C'mon and Public Animal (among others). Two years ago he decided to finally make a solo record. He called on friends from Biblical, Flash Lightning, Danko Jones, King Cobb Steelie and more to bring the Thin Lizzy/Budgie/Big Star/Motorpsycho hybrid to life. The LP "Signals Through The Flames" will be released on Pajama Party in June 2019. Coming together to tour the record is Ian Blurton's Future Now, a hard hitting rock machine that features Glenn Milchem (Blue Rodeo) on drums, Anna Ruddick (Randy Bachman) on bass and Aaron Goldstein (Daniel Romano) on guitar.
