Bear Sculpture: Have you ever wanted to learn to sculpt with wool? Then this is the class for you! Participants will learn about different types of wool and felting needles, how to shape this material into their own little bear, and the care of their finished product. Suitable for beginners 13+, participants will have the choice of finalizing their piece into a polar or black bear. Capreol Santa Claus Parade, Candle Walk & Tree Lighting

SANTA'S BACK IN TOWN AND HE'S COMING TO CAPREOL on Saturday, NOVEMBER 30, 2019 Capreol will once again be celebrating the Christmas season in style with the return of the much anticipated Candle Walk, Tree Lighting and Capreol Santa Claus Parade. At 5pm, the Candle Walk will start at the Northern Ontario Railway Museum on Bloor Street, with the Capreol Community Choir singing Christmas Carols. The Tree Lighting will follow at 5:30 at the Capreol Cenotaph. Whinnying in Life Petting Zoo will be set up in the laneway by the Cenotaph from 4:30pm onwards. (Photo Op) Santa will visit with children at the Cenotaph Gazebo at 5:00pm and then he will be whisked away to join the parade. The Capreol Food Bank “Food Drive” is also taking place and food is being collected at local businesses around town. PLEASE BRING a non-perishable food donation and support this important Food Drive. Bins will be located at the Cenotaph Gazebo & also upstairs at the Arena following the parade. Welcome 2019 ... Our Sunday Afternoons have been great this year... Richard Mende and Paul Loewenberg take a couple hours to play old Blues, Ragtime, Bluegrass, Gospel with a touch of Folk music. About half the time we have special guests join in on Bass or Fiddle or Dobro or Banjo... but the rest of the time it's 2 music encyclopedias playing the best from 1800 to about 1960. More often is the 1920's and 30's. We love it when the kids dance. Bring the kids, bring your parents... meet your friends. Have a great meal... A great afternoon of peace and good music.
