GET INTO QUEERANTINE 2.0

GET INTO QUEERANTINE 2.0

Time to get your pride on with Fierté Sudbury Pride‘s second edition of Queerantine! Celebrate all things Queer in Northern Ontario and beyond from July 12th-18th. The Fierté Sudbury Pride team has been hard at work planning fun and inclusive activities for all ages and identities in a COVID safe digital format for the second year. While celebrating virtually isn’t quite the same, if we just hang tight for one more year, hopefully, we’ll all be able to party together next pride! In the meantime gather your bubble and get ready to take part in community meet-ups, fantastic entertainment, and thoughtful discussion.

Get in on the action July 12th-18th with tons of fun activities for Queerantine 2.0! Remember, you don’t have to be 2SLGBTQ+ to participate – allies are welcome too. A big thank you goes out to all the hard-working volunteers at Fierté Sudbury Pride, who have managed to put together another fantastic festival in the middle of a pandemic. Here are some highlights you can look forward to over Queerantine 2.0:

Meet New People

One of the best parts of any Pride celebration is meeting new people of different experiences. It’s a powerful reminder when surrounded by other 2SLGBTQ+ folks that you are part of a vibrant and thriving community. Expand your network and make a new friend with some of Fierté Sudbury Pride’s fun social events over the week!

All-Ages Speed Friending – Monday, July 12th @7PM – Start off Pride Week on the right foot and meet some new folks! Get ready for an evening of fun little games, all in a safe, low-pressure environment. All you need to bring is your smile and your best foot!

All-Ages Game Night – Tuesday, July 13th @7PM – Grab the Cheetos and the Mountain Dew, it’s a virtual Games Night! Connect to our Discord server and enjoy playing Among Us and some other fun Jackbox games with your friends and community members.

The Queerest Trivia – Friday, July 16th @5PM – You think you’re clever, don’t you? Now’s the time to test it out! Join us on our Facebook page for an interactive evening of queer trivia, where we’ll test your knowledge about all things queer. And, of course, don’t forget to assemble and register your kick-ass team!

Queering the Beach – Saturday, July 17th @ 12PM – Things are still a little tricky to organize a Pride March and Day in the Park, BUT we’ve thought of the next best thing. Rather than take over downtown for an afternoon, we shall take to the beaches! Enjoy the sun and show off your fabulous, magical queer body, surrounded by your chosen family! Just gather up some friends, pick your favourite beach in the area, and have fun!

Pride Worship Service – Sunday, July 18th @ 10PM – Sunday worship open to everyone under (and in) the rainbow! The service is led by Reverend Gerry Copeman and St. Peter’s Affirm Committee members. Presented by St. Peter’s United Church
