GET READY TO KICK OFF ANOTHER SEASON WITH YES AT THEIR ANNUAL FUNDRAISING GALA
As YES Theatre gears up for yet another whirl wind summer of music join them in celebrating their 7th season at their Annual Fundraising Gala! Past productions from YES Theatre have included; Hair, Rent, Spring Awakening, a sold out run of Jesus Christ Superstar, In the Heights, Fiddler on the Roof and this past winter a production of The Last Five Years (read our review here). Year after year they come back and set the local theatre scene on fire with their enthusiast and often thought provoking performances. Want to be part of making it happen again this year? Tell us about the YES Theatre’s Annual Fundraising Gala
Our 6th annual gala, who knew when we started we’d make it this far! We are very excited about it! The evening will feature a scrumptious 5 course meal, a complimentary glass of a very special 60’s inspired punch and of course entertainment! You’ll be treated to a concert with our artists, some new, some who’ve been with us since the beginning – but always entertaining!
Tell us more about YES Theatre’s upcoming production of Hairspray
Hairspray was on Broadway in 2003 and took Broadway, then in 2006 the Hollywood blockbuster arrived and took the world by storm! We are thrilled to be producing the Northern Ontario premiere. It’s a really important story to be telling. Physical and Racial prejudice are huge issues in not just our community but all around the world. We are hoping to spread some light on these issues and inspire our audiences! The production runs August 12th-27 at the Sudbury Theatre Centre. The cast consists of some really brilliant artists. Many returning familiar faces and 11 artists making their debut with YES!

Are there any other performances planned for the summer?
