Ben Sures w/ Andrea Ramolo – Saturday February 18th – 7PM – 10:30PM – Fromagerie Elgin (80 Elgin St) – $25

Past festival performer Ben Sures makes his return to the Nickel City with all the acoustic jams and observational lyrics you can handle. Described by Caroline Brooks of The Good Lovelies as ‘my modern day Paul Simon’ his casual and relaxed performance style makes for such an intimate performance you’ll almost forget there’s a concert happening. Powerful melodies, great acoustic playing and top notch story telling make this performer one not to miss! Andrea Ramolo will be sharing the stage on this double bill, one half of folk pop-duo Scarlet Jane she’s performing solo with songs from her new album NUDA. Material for the album was inspired by and attempts to document Ramolo’s personal and creative metamorphosis following a period of deep depression. Cool, dark and melancholy her alternative folk style make this a double-bill folk dreams are made of!
