You Look Beau-tee-ful, Darling! Meet Teresa From Your Cup of Beautee
Teresa, the beautista behind Your Cup of Beautee, has grown quite the social media following for featuring her makeup looks, top beauty picks, and tips and tricks for other makeup enthusiasts. Now, she is preparing to launch her new Beautee channel on YouTube! She shared her story and advice for budding makeup artists below!
Tell us about yourself! What sparked your interest in makeup and beauty, and what made you decide to become a makeup artist?
Hiii!!! I’m Teresa Parada (but my friends call me Tee) and I’m a freelance makeup artist. I’ve always been so intrigued by the beauty of makeup and how it can totally give girls self-confidence. Making someone feel good about themselves is so rewarding. As a makeup artist I’m intimately involved in some of the most exciting and important events of people’s lives. From proms, to weddings to graduations; that is the most rewarding part. My goal is to make you say “damn” when you look at yourself in the mirror for the first time.
When did you launch Your Cup of Beautee? What type of beauty services do you offer?
I launched Your Cup of Beautee this past December, just in time for the holidays! The beauty services I provide are strictly makeup applications from weddings to photoshoots and even inhome lessons. I use a variety of different types of makeup from high end products (proud VIB rouge member at Sephora) to drug store products. It all started with watching YouTube tutorials. Every morning as I got ready for work I would throw on a YouTube makeup tutorial and attempt to do what they were doing. Eventually I got pretty good and mastered some techniques and would start practicing on friends (thanks girls). Practicing on friends quickly turned into them scheduling me to do their makeup for important events (you know, like a girls’ night out). Seeing first-hand how amazing my friends felt made me realize I want to offer my services and expertise to my community.
What’s in store for you and your Cup of Beautee in 2016?
I’m excited to announce that I’ll be launching my own YouTube channel, so stay tuned! I’ll be posting tutorials from contouring and highlighting to eyebrow shaping. Who knew brows would become such a big deal? But don’t worry, I gotchu. I’ll also be showing off some of my secret tricks to keep you in check, you’ll have to watch to find out!
What is your best piece of advice for other makeup artists who are just getting started?
I encourage everyone to follow their dreams, and do something they are truly passionate about. My best piece of advice for future makeup artists is to do it for the love of it, stay humble, and don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone.

Final words from Teresa: May the wings of your eyeliner always be even and remember; eyebrows are sisters not twins.
