Can you believe it is already the middle of March? 2016 is flying by and March break is JUST around the corner. If you’re looking for something fun for your kids this March Break, we have got you covered! We’ve rounded up some of the fun March Break camps that are taking place next week. From winter survival to a day at the spa, there is something for everyone!
Around the World with Glam – Who’s ready to travel the world this March Break? Each day we imaginatively visit a different country where we learn, explore, taste, craft and spa with various activities. Grab your Glama Gal passport and get ready to start this adventure. Each day of Camp Includes: Spa Service, Craft, Physical Activity, Snack Creations, and Glamspiration Booster Session based on the theme of the day. Our Friday Camp Day includes a Pizza Lunch. Cost: $300/week or $65/day – Glam Gal Tween Spa and Party Studio – 2140 Regent St, Unit 12
Camp Bitobig – Provides recreational and educational hands-on activities to help children develop, through personal observations and experience while having FUN, an appreciation of their natural environment. Snowshoe Hikes – Quinzhee/Shelter Building – Ice Fishing – Survival Game – Campfire Lunch – Nature Games and Crafts – Wilderness Survival Skills – Other Fun Surprises!! Cost: $170 – March 14th – 18th – 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. @ Lake Laurentian Conservation Area
March Break Madness – Science North It’s a full week of action –packed experiments, activities and fun for the budding scientist in your family! From exploring nature, to venturing off to space, and creating concoctions, each day brings a new theme and new chance to discover the wonders of science! Cost: $175/members | $195/public – March 14th – 18th – 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. @ Science North – 100 Ramsey Lake Road
March Break Climbing Camp – Make the best of your week off school! Inspired by our Weekend Warriors program, we are excited to offer this new March Break program for youth. Climbers will have the chance to climb with ARC belay staff each morning, and there will be a different craft, activity or yoga offering each day that the climbers are invited to participate in! Ages 6-14 – Cost: $180/week or $40/day – March 14th – 18th – 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. @ ARC Climbing Yoga Fitness -1981 Old Burwash Road
YMCA March Break Day Camps – Come and join us for some March Break fun! You will have the opportunity to swim, do crafts, play in the gym, outside (weather permitting) and lots of camp games! Cost: Recreational: $31.50/day for members | $36/day for public. Sports Camp: $36/day for members | $40/day for public – March 14th – 18th @ YMCA of Sudbury – 140 Durham Street
March Break Camp – “Time Travel week” – Monday – Jurassic Junkyard – Are you ready to romp with the dinosaurs? Come joint us at GymZone for a prehistoric extravaganza complete with fossil hunts and games fit for a Dino! Tuesday – Escape to Egypt – Explore ancient Egypt through activities and crafts that would make the pharaoh’s jealous. Wednesday – Through the 19th Century – Come join us for a trip down memory lane complete with a “horse pulled sleigh ride” that will give you a tour around our facility just like they used to back in the day. Thursday – Flashback to the 1988 Calgary Olympics – Outdoor activities. Friday – Into the Future – What will the year 2100 bring? March 14th-18th @GymZone – 1311 Gemmell Street
Outdoor Winter Survival Camp – Looking for more than just child care? Looking for adventure, an opportunity to learn useful skills? And a whole bunch of fun? We have the answer! Our Outdoor Winter Survival Camp! We are joined by Conservation Officer, Mitch Turcott who will take us out into the wilderness to teach us how to survive! Do you know what to do if you are lost in the woods? Do your children? We will give them these tools in this one-week, hands-on training camp. Cost: $199/week – March 14th-18th @ Sudbury Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Muay Thai Academy – 5931 HWY 69N
March Break @ The GSPL – Join us this March Break some awesome fun at the library! It’s interactive, it’s entertaining and it’s free! Family Fun Drum, Fancy Tammy Tea Time, Let’s Talk Science, Mad Science Fun, Movie Showings, Outdoor Fun, Pop-up Makerspace: Robot Activity, Seed Activity, The Awful Alphabet, Rodney Meilleur, Sudbury Party Animals, Ventriloquist Yvette Locke, and a Superhero Princess Party.
