Afie Jurvanen aka Bahamas is a Barrie, ON native and Juno award winning singer-songwriter. His latest album Bahamas Is Afie released in 2014 was featured on Q’s Top 20 Albums of 2014 list, won a Juno for Adult Alternative Album of the Year and Jurvanen himself won a Juno for Songwriter of the Year. His soft minimalist tones will make you feel like you’re floating on a raft made of clouds on Ramsey Lake rather than standing in the Grace Hartman Amphitheatre right beside it. Making his Sudbury at debut Northern Lights Festival Boréal’s 45^th anniversary season Afie is known for his outstanding musicianship working with artists such as Feist, Jason Collett and Jack Johnson, releasing his albums on the latter’s Brushfire Records.
