Friday Night Headliner:

BAHAMAS

Afie Jurvanen aka Bahamas is a Barrie, ON native and Juno award winning singer-songwriter. His soft minimalist tones will make you feel like you’re floating on a raft made of clouds on Ramsey Lake rather than standing in the Grace Hartman Amphitheatre right beside it. Making his Sudbury debut Afie is known for his outstanding musicianship he has worked with artists such as Feist, Jason Collett and Jack Johnson, releasing his albums on the latter’s Brushfire Records.

Saturday Night Headliner:

Natalie MacMaster & Donnell Leahy

As previously announced Natlie MacMaster & Donnell Leahy Canadian fiddle icons will be on hand Saturday night. Both artists are festival veterans Natalie MacMaster having headlined herself in the past and Donnell Leahy having played as the leading of the family band Leahy. Injecting the hometown tradition with a raw energy that just can’t be manufactured the Cape Breton duo are sure to deliver a show to remember!

Sunday Night Headliner:

Gypsy Kumbia Orchestra

Montreal’s 16-member orchestra is a high-powered combination of Afro-Colombian music and dance, with the brass and violin melodies of eastern European music. They were in Sudbury last year as part of the Pan-Am Games celebration followed by a raucous guerilla-style show at the Fromagerie Elgin that had everyone dancing. Their first album, Revuelta Danza Party has been a hit and reached #1 on CIBL radio in Montreal, remaining in their top ten world music rankings since it’s release in September.

Some have said that the Big Dripper from Sub City is a regional delicacy and the perfect end to a Sudbury Saturday Night – Jessica is definitely one of those people. No, the hair is not a perm.
