Miss North Ontario Regional Canada Pageant is an annual event that takes place in Sudbury every May. This year there are 44 contestants from all over Northern Ontario. This event is designed to celebrate all the support that Downtown Sudbury has shown the society for Daffodil Month. On March 21, it was announced that Kim Fahner was named Sudbury’s fourth poet laureate. She is also our first female laureate! Kim is well known throughout the community as both a published author and English teacher at Marymount Academy.
