Pinhole Camera Workshop with Stacey Lalande – Join Stacey Lalande, Cambrian College photography instructor / Mirth Photography photographer, instructor and creative director as she leads a free workshop on building your own pinhole camera. We’ll supply the materials to build your own device you can bring it home with you to experiment and wow your friends and family. Sudbury Wolves Hockey Card Signing – The Sudbury Wolves will host their annual Hockey Card Autograph session on Saturday February 20th from 2-3pm in the Food Court at the New Sudbury Centre. Coldest Night of the Year – Our Coldest Night Walk in Sudbury will be leaving the Food Court of the Rainbow Centre – exiting out of the Ste. Anne Rd mall entrance and returning to the food court via the same entrance. There is free parking at the Rainbow Centre indoor parking lot (enter via Ste. Anne Rd) on Saturdays. Vintage Slang’s Album Release House Party! – Sudbury rock band Vintage Slang is releasing “Standing Still” on February 20th. All attendees will receive a free digital copy of “Standing Still” on Feb. 20, and admission to the evening’s festivities. Aside from Vintage Slang’s performance, you will be treated to performances by Toronto band Goodnight, Sunrise, and local favorites Fortunate Loser and Sex & Summer. There will be prizes, special guests, and other surprises. This is a 19+ age event. Alcohol will not be served but is permitted in the hall. Please don’t abuse this allowance and if you are going to drink, make arrangements not to drive home. Security will be on hand that evening to ensure everyone’s safety. Winter Animal Tracking and Guided Snowshoe Hike – Winter is the perfect season to look for signs of animal life in the woods. Join Conservation Sudbury for our fifth annual Winter Animal Tracking and Guided Snowshoe Hike. Participants will take a guided snowshoe tour with a nature interpreter and discover a winter forest full of life! Would you recognize the tracks of a snowshoe hare or a red fox? Find out what kind of tracks can be seen at the Conservation Area! All ages welcome; snowshoes will be provided free of charge. Artist Talk with Darlene Naponse – Spend an afternoon with artist Darlene Naponse and curator Deanna Nebenionquit to discuss the Art Gallery of Sudbury’s most recent exhibition bi mookseg / surfacing. Darlene uses film as a medium to capture moving landscapes of Atikameksheng Anishnawbek (Whitefish Lake First Nation) and Sudbury and combines her artistic vision in this multilayered video exhibition. 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. @ Art Gallery of Sudbury – 251 John Street
