Free Nordic Skiing – The event will be located at the stadium chalet of the Nordic skiing club. It is located on the far side of the track and field stadium. When traveling to the Ben Avery building you will take a right just before the fence starts for the track and field stadium and continue on that road until you can take a left into a small parking lot. Northern Ontario Microbrew Festival – Stack Brewing is excited to present the 2nd Annual Northern Ontario Microbrew Festival. This event will showcase many craft breweries from all over Northern Ontario. Sample brews from Lake of the Woods Brewing Company(Kenora), New Ontario Brewing Company (North Bay), Union Jack Brewing(SSM), Highlander Brew Co. (South River), Split Rail Brewing Co., Manitoulin Island, Inc. 2012, OutSpoken Brewing (SSM), and Stack Brewing (Sudbury) at the festival. We’ll even be welcoming back Rheault Distillery based out of Hearst, ON. We’ll have some honorary Northerners in attendance; like our pals fromSawdust City Brewery (Gravenhurst), Beau’s All Natural Brewing Co.(Vankleek Hill), Whitewater Brewing Company (Foresters Falls), Barnstormer Brewing Company (Barrie), Steam Whistle Pilsner (Toronto), and Muskoka Brewery (Bracebridge).These breweries will be providing samples of their product and celebrating the announcement of Sudbury’s Home Brew Champ. Laurentian Relay for Life 2016 – Laurentian University is holding its first-ever Relay for Life event this March! This involves teams of about ten people participating in a 12-hour non-competitive relay that celebrates survival, pays tribute to the lives of loved ones and is a night of fun and fundraising. Teams will consist of students, faculty, family and friends from within the Laurentian community.
