Northern Lights Festival Boréal 45: Lineup Launch – Northern Lights Festival Boréal 45 is taking place July 8th to 10th 2016, and the team is ready to announce the 2016 lineup of performers. You’re invited to join us for a reception at the Art Gallery of Sudbury for information about this year’s festival, including performers, partnerships, and more. As always, this year’s festival will feature a diverse lineup of performers ranging from Canadian legends to the undiscovered masters, from roots to experimental, from tradition to innovation. Trivia: 4/20 Eve – 3 rounds of 15 questions, and one bonus question per round. Pages are marked a-la grade 5 math class by passing them to a friend. Points scored for being awesome and promoting awesome things! Find a funny answer on someone’s card, even if its not the right answer you can still nominate them for an awesome star. We also reward jokers and pranksters and all those who don’t cheat! Winner takes home bragging rights and some awesome prizes. National Canadian Film Day – National Canadian Film Day (NCFD) is back for a third year!

Eric Clancy – Music at Sunset – You folks have been asking for an earlier show from me for a while now, and the oppertunity has come! I’ll be playing the Music at Sunset slot at The Townehouse Tavern on April 21. The show is free so come have dinner and a drink while I play from 5:30 – 8pm. For those who haven’t seen me in a while, there’ll be a lot of material you haven’t heard from me before. It’ll be a nice treat to play while the sun is still out and sure to be a different feel from the late night atmosphere. Teddy Bear Day Care’s Fundraiser Painting Party – On April 21st Teddy Bear Day Care is hosting a Painting Party Fundraiser at the Royal Canadian Legion – Branch 336 (Falconbridge-Garson). Max and Spence play the Speakeasy! (Max’s first live performance) – Max came to Sudbury for a few reasons, and of those reasons, was to work on music. We have been slowly working on some material for a future collabroative release, and I think it’s high time he play his first official live performance. What better place to start than in an intimate bar, surrounded by good friends!? We will be splitting the night in to three sets.. 1 me solo, 2 Max solo and 3 together.
